Red Line to Shady Grove Station:: Last Week the rider with the pink socks demanded the Washington Post Express of another rider saying as he walked away down the car, "Hey, Mr. Man, I wanted that magazine." Much to everyone's surprise and my personal delight, he came back and actually gave it to her. Her mother, of course, was horrified. So, after talking it through, the two of them decided that it would be best to give the "magazine" back to their fellow passenger. The episode made me smile and perked me up on my otherwise normally bleary-eyed commute.
