On January 3, 2006 I accidentally took a picture of the platform floor tile at Grosvenor Metro Station with my cameraphone. It was unintentional but looked interesting and it's inspired me to look for other eye-catching textures throughout the D.C. metro system using only my camera phone ...whatever it takes to make the commute go by.

I really like this one. The colors are both cool and warm. Usually the subway is not an inviting place, but this photograph makes me feel at ease.
