On January 3, 2006 I accidentally took a picture of the platform floor tile at Grosvenor Metro Station with my cameraphone. It was unintentional but looked interesting and it's inspired me to look for other eye-catching textures throughout the D.C. metro system using only my camera phone ...whatever it takes to make the commute go by.

I have travelled on trains in dozens of cities around the world -your pics capture their intrigue and surrealism.
Do we take subways to Heaven? or elevators? Or do we just float and arrive like balloons flying in the wind?
