I really have to get creative to get out of the standard Metro palette: grey, redish brown, 70's orange and brown. Then there's the 1970's colors in the new train cars.

On January 3, 2006 I accidentally took a picture of the platform floor tile at Grosvenor Metro Station with my cameraphone. It was unintentional but looked interesting and it's inspired me to look for other eye-catching textures throughout the D.C. metro system using only my camera phone ...whatever it takes to make the commute go by.
